Honor Flight would not be successful without the generous and caring support of our Guardians. Guardians play a significant role on every trip, ensuring all veterans have a safe and memorable experience. Duties include, but not limited to, physically assisting the veterans at the veterans at the airport, during the flight, and at the memorials. ALL ARRANGEMENTS for flights, meals, lodging, and ground transportation while in DC will be made by Honor Flight.
Guardians will receive an invoice for approximately one-half of the costs incurred for these services. This invoice must be paid in full at least ten (10) days before the flight. The IRS recognizes this as a charitable deduction (see Publication 526 page 5, subsection "Travel"). A tax receipt will be provided by Honor Flight for this donation.
